MACROC - Macarthur Regional Organisation of Councils

The vision for the Macarthur Region is to become an economically dynamic region with an environment conducive to investment, learning and the expansion of firms capable of generating good jobs within the region in high value-added, highly skilled industries and ensuring that the region's workforce also has efficient and affordable access to jobs in broader labour markets outside the region.

The vision for Macarthur will be guided by the need to build on and protect the region's natural environment and amenities to provide residents with the opportunities to improve their quality of life.

Macarthur Regional Organisation of Councils regional initiatives for Camden, Campbelltown and Wollondilly include four areas of focus:

Environment:

• CERES (Environment Education Program).

Economic and Communities and Development

• Marketing;
• CEO Forums;
• Industry Networking; and
• Business and Industry Consultation.

Accessibility

• Transport.

Advocacy and Lobbying

• This ensures Macarthur receives their fair share of Government funding.
