Wollondilly Shire Council Trainee wins awardLast modified: September 22, 2009 - 2:55 PM
On Friday 18 September, Jacqueline White from Wollondilly Shire Council won the “Trainee of the Year” award from MG My Gateway Apprentice and Trainee Awards 2009. MG My Gateway organises apprenticeships and traineeships within Sydney metropolitan region and services eight local government Councils in that area. Wollondilly Shire Council has been involved with a trainee program with My Gateway for sometime now and has employed between four and five trainees a year for the past four years. "Jacqueline has been a huge asset to us and we are very proud of her achievement in winning this award. Her dedication to her role here has been outstanding. This recognition is a credit to her and the staff that she has worked with and learnt from. We hope that the success she has achieved with us this year, will continue on through her career,” said Luke Johnson, Acting General Manager. Jacqueline was chosen from a field of 22 nominations for Trainee of the Year, however MG My Gateway has between 70-75 trainees currently that were eligible for nomination.
Included in the nominations were other trainees for Wollondilly Shire Council and these were Jessica Hayter, Brooke Vince and Melissa Owen. These trainees have also been a great asset to Council. Contact details |
